I’m very very blessed. I get to do what I love for my living.
Some things I love more than others – designing something intricate, practicing my lettering or cutting a papercut design that has me holding my breath for fear of screwing up – love that!
Standing on a ladder to apply lettering in 30 or 90 degree temperatures… not my favorite.
Sitting at my drawing table, cup of coffee right there, dogs snoring next to me, my magic pencil in my hand and a new project in front of me… this is my happy place.
I work from home (yes it’s awesome!) so gradually my entire house is turning into a studio. I have the large work area that takes up half of my home where my big work tables and the computer that runs my cutting machines live.
I have a designated studio room where my design pc and printers and drafting table live.
I also have a small drawing table in my living room where I can sit in the evenings or on a sunny Saturday afternoon and work on things that are just for the pleasure of it.
Oh, I love to go and do things with family. I love to shop and go to the movies. I even like going to the grocery store.
I have access to a beautiful windy country road where rain or shine we go for walkies twice a day – love that!
But… home at my drawing table working on a new and exciting project is still my favorite place to be. It’s my happy place.
In honor of being all happy and stuff, I made a template for myself – something to hang in my happy place and since sharing is caring (and you KNOW I care) I am sharing it with you.
Click right here to grab the free download template for your very own.
(Personal use only. Sorry there’s no SVG for this one. That’s so you’ll have to slow down and cut it by hand and enjoy a little zen time.)
Tell me where is YOUR happy place?
