For many years it was a tradition for me to invite myself to my brother’s house for Thanksgiving dinner. We ate, we laughed, we ate some more and then…
We made a Christmas craft. I would bring the crafty idea and the supplies with which to make it. (When you invite yourself, you need to make sure they’re not sorry that you came. Sorry about the glitter… kind of.)
Usually that craft would be an ornament for the tree. We made all kinds of different ornaments through the years. Never the same thing twice. Everyone made one for themselves from the smallest to the tallest kids and grownups.
Even though they moved away from me a couple of years ago I still like making the ornaments and I share the making with whoever wants to make.
Maybe it’s you!
I have drawn some baubles for the tree that you can print and color and then cut out.

What you need to make these pretties:
- Colored Pencils, Gel Pens or markers or whatever you like to color with
- Paper – I printed onto 80 lb cardstock that I picked up at Walmart.
- Printer – if you don’t have a printer, take the files to a copy store or a friend who has one. You just need black and white.
- Scissors to cut them out. Maybe an xacto knife or a hole punch for the ring at the top.
That’s it.
Optional: You can load the PNG files into your Ipad or tablet or photoshop to color them and then print.
I drew these and colored some of them on my Ipad with the Procreate app then printed them and added sparkly gel pen over the color because… You gotta have the sparkle.
If you want them to be extra heavy, after coloring, glue two of the same shape and size back to back.
I intend to use some for gift tags, so will leave the back blank to write a message.
